Vacaciones Utiles

At the moment the volunteers are working hard everyday to organise vacaciones utiles or summer school. Every weekday the kids go to the school from 9pm to 12.30pm, with the help of peruvian volunteers we organise mathematics, communication, English and sports. Apart from that the kids have a fun activity every day. The theme of each week is different. The first week was Africa, the second week Europe, the third week was Asia and this week the theme is South America.

The kids are having fun with arts and crafts, dances, theatre and more.
Every second friday we have an extra special activity. The volunteers made a little movie theatre in the school! This friday we will go to the museum and to the park :-)

Intiwawa volunteers

Intiwawa has volunteers from all over the world, from Europe, North-America, Asia and Peru.
Here is a presentation of a few foreign volunteers on the current team:

Maartje and Joke, two volunteers from Belgium. They volunteered for several months and helped out great in the kindergarden, homework project, children's congres and the christmas project.

Manu, from France, is loved by all the children. He lost his heart to the children beginning of 2011, volunteering for 3 months. A few months later he came back to help out with many projects. A few in particular: Salinas and the childrens congres. He's leaving soon, but surely he'll be coming back soon as well.

Erika, another volunteer from Belgium that arrived in september 2011. She will stay a whole year helping out Intiwawa while finishing her thesis. She brings joy to all kids with her big smile and is involved in many projects, one of them being the intercultural project in Salinas.
